“Ipads for Soldiers” is a not-for-profit that is very near and dear to the Zambrano’s heart. Besides helping our troops, the org was created by the Zambrano’s good friend/ past patient Winnie Pritchett and honors her son/past patient Wes Pritchett, Jr. who recently served a one year tour in the most dangerous part of Afghanistan at 25 years old. He identified ipads to be the one thing that could most help our troops and his mother has dedicated the past couple of years to getting as many of them into the hands of our troops overseas and the severely wounded troops in our hospital as possible. To help raise money, Amy organized a movie night for “The Hunger Games” at the Paragon theater. Almost 300 people joined and raised almost $5000! (www.ipadsforsoldiers.org)
